Give Your Patients Peace of Mind While Gently Restoring Their Smiles

Your Patients are in Experienced Hands with America Anesthesia Partners

The growing need for dental anesthesia stems from changes in healthcare and more general dentists performing complex procedures like implant placement. Our reputation for excellence is built on a commitment to patient safety, satisfaction, and ongoing education.

When we visit your office, we integrate seamlessly with your team to deliver high-quality, in-office anesthesia. This allows you to expand your services and treat patients with special needs or severe anxiety who often have significant unmet dental needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our anesthesiologists share the airway with you as you perform different restorative and surgical dental procedures. This requires specialized anesthetic skills and techniques essential in dentistry, such as nasal intubation. While some dental practices use nurses or medical anesthesiologists, our sedation dentists have in-depth training in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. The requirements for nasal intubations, advanced airway placements, patients with special needs, and cases with dentist anesthesiologist faculty supervision are all unique compared to any other medical or dental residency training program.

Our team’s in-depth knowledge of the anatomy of the nasal vestibule, nasal cavity, nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx, and larynx enables us to safely administer nasal intubation without limiting your access to intraoral anatomy. In addition to extensive dental anesthesiology skills, most of our sedation dentists are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

To be eligible for Diplomate status, our anesthesiologists completed 36 months of dental anesthesiology residencies at institutions accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation or a provincial or national accrediting body deemed equivalent by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Most of our dental anesthesiologists completed their residency at NYU Langone Health/Jacobi Medical Center, working under the supervision of Dr. Salar Ebrahimi, the founder of American Anesthesia Partners.

During residency, our dental anesthesiologists demonstrated expertise in administering safe and cost-effective conscious sedation, deep sedation, and general anesthesia to patients of all ages and medical complexity. Our training encompassed a full spectrum of dental, oral, maxillofacial, and adjunctive surgical procedures in office-based, hospital, or ambulatory surgery center operating room settings.

We perform a pre-assessment and health history for each of your patients, as well as provide detailed pre-operative and post-operative guidelines. Our staff is equipped with state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment, including medications for children and adults and resuscitation equipment, in the unlikely chance of complications.

Our sleek mobile anesthesia units provide hospital-quality standards with a minimal footprint on your operating space. With ambulatory IV and general anesthesia services administered at the convenience of your dental office, you can practice what you do best without worrying about the complexities and costs of dental anesthesia.

Following anesthesia, it’s not uncommon to feel disoriented, confused, and have temporary memory loss. The level of side effects can vary based on the type of anesthesia and the individual’s response to it. Patients may experience decreased sensitivity, limited mobility, and slower reaction times during this time.

For your safety, it’s important to have a responsible companion accompany you home and to avoid operating heavy machinery or making crucial decisions until the effects of the anesthesia have fully subsided. Additionally, adhering to any post-operative care instructions provided by your healthcare provider is crucial for a smooth and successful recovery.

At America Anesthesia Partners, our commitment to patient satisfaction is evident in our personalized approach to every case. We tailor anesthesia modalities to meet the specific needs of each of your patients, thereby ensuring a safe, comfortable, and stress-free dental procedure.

We’re experts in administering IV sedation and general anesthesia to the most vulnerable patients, including those with severe dental anxiety and special needs, including children with complex health issues. Unlike many practices, we use opioid- and narcotic-free anesthesia if its use isn’t contraindicated. Research has shown that multimodal anesthesia and pain management can significantly improve patient prognosis, reduce the incidence of postoperative adverse effects, and promote patient recovery.

On the contrary, partnering with America Anesthesia Partners eliminates the need to invest in an in-house anesthesiologist and expensive equipment. The medical necessity, coverage, documentation, and payment rules applicable to dental sedation vary from one state to another, which is complicated.

We handle all billing and payment directly with your patients and provide the necessary paperwork for Medicaid reimbursement. In cases where anesthesiology is out of pocket for patients, we’ll disclose the exact cost, and if you wish, you can add this amount to your procedural costs and bill the patient yourself. We believe that access to quality dental anesthesia shouldn’t be limited by cost or financial concerns, and we strive to make the process convenient and cost-effective for you and your patients!
